	Alcohol Detection: The Congressionally-authorized Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) Program brings together the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety (ACTS), which represents the world's leading automakers, and the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in one of the most important government and private sector partnerships in recent years. Public-private partnerships like DADSS have led to innovations that enhance our everyday lives, such as the internet, GPS and the microchip. Form 990, Part III, Line 4a, Alcohol Detection (continued):	These technologies, both breath- and touch-based, are intended to be seamless with the driving task, non-intrusive, accurate, fast, and require little to no maintenance. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill (BIL) enacted in November 2021 requires that all new vehicles be equipped with alcohol detection technology like DADSS beginning by the close of the current decade. Development of the DADSS technology continues to progress such that one or both DADSS technologies will be available as a compliance option for any safety standard issued to implement BIL's requirements.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6	The Coalition has active, sustaining, and associate members. Active and sustaining members shall vote at annual and special meetings on election of officers and on any other issues that may come before them. Associate members shall attend meetings of the members at the invitation of the President & CEO, and shall vote on issues placed before them by the Board or operating committee.
