What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Community and international service through: (i) grants to community charitable and educational orgainizations; (ii) grants to The Rotary Foundation to sponsor and support internatioanl humanitarian projects; and (iii) volunteering for various service projects throughout our community.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Program name: "Protecting Women from Cervical Cancer in the Republic of Ghana". Our Club, along wih the Rotary Club of Accra East (Africa), led this $70,000 international service project to purchase 50 cervical cancer thermal ablation treatment devices for deployment in unserved and underserved areas in the Republic of Ghana, Africa. Cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among African women. The purchase and deployment of these devices will enabled more than 2,500 women per year to be screened and treated for cervical cancer. In addition to donations from the two lead Rotary Clubs, the project was funded by donations from other area Rotary Clubs with matching grants from The Rotary Foundation and Rotary District 6250.
