What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To support Respiratory Therapists and Respiratory Care students through providing education, networking, professional development by hosting conferences, panel discussion, website articles, workshops, round-table discussions and hands-on in-services. Provides professional development support and opportunities to earn required credentialing educational units. Also promotes awareness and professionalism in South Carolina for Respiratory Therapists, sleep technologists, respiratory care students and high school allied health students.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 To benefit respiratory therapists and respiratory care students through education and networking. Scholarships and grants were awarded to student that applied and competed for the scholarships. The scholarship recognizes outstanding respiratory care students for both grades and submission of presentations for a pulmonary related topic. This year, $1200.00 were awarded to students seeking two year associate degrees. Also, there was allocations for $2100 for student delegates, $5,539 for fall delegates and $4,002 for summer delegates.
