28 In 2023, Local 1047 established an official office and recruited and trained several new stewards. Local 1047 has increased membership with more than 100 new members. AFGE has secured higher wages for employees and negotiated a new collective bargaining agreement with TSA. Local 1047 is protecting workers interests and empowering employees to use their voice to improve working conditions.
