This is our first 990-PF submission. We are still trying to understand the whole process. Please forgive our ignorance if we are interpreting the form instructions incorrectly. We are non-professionals trying to make every dollar go to 501(3)(C) organizations. We are a small, cash only Private Foundation. Our intention is to distribute ALL of our income each year. Our income comes from a single yearly check from a related Trust. This check (ranging in value from $0.00 to $25,000.00) is deposited in a non-interest-bearing checking account. We have NO investments of any kind. Thus, we believe that ALL of our year-end cash (Line 4) is held for upcoming charitable distributions. We believe that Line 5 Net value of non charitable-use assets and Line 6 Minimum investment return should both be zero.

Statement:
The registration for the Betty S. Blair Charitable Trust was submitted to the Oregon Department of Justice on April 30, 2024. Given the closeness of the submission to the deadline (May 15) we were told that we would receive an automatic extension for the due date for the Annual Report for the trust. We will be submitting the Annual Report along with Form 990-PF to the State of Oregon as soon as our registration appears in the on-line database.
