| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d | OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: NuclearWakeUpCall.Earth:NuclearWakeUpCall.Earth is a nonprofit, nonpartisan initiative dedicated to catalyzing efforts in US-Russian relations to reduce the escalating nuclear danger and to working with people in Russia and all countries to move towards a world without nuclear weapons. We work to achieve our objectives through creative community engagement, dialogue, education, film, mediation, indigenous wisdom, music and cultural exchange, as well as peacebuilding initiatives to advance peace and reduce the risk of nuclear war. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Ulu Vaa:Ulu Vaas goal is to bridge the gap between the existing Hawaiian canoe sailing programs by building a 27 ft canoe to compensate for the growing need of canoe culture. In 2023 Ulu vaa participated in a 6month program at north shore stables in waialua, Oahu. Our hui helped build two 16 foot double hull canoes for the north shore community to utilize and engage the keiki in a future vaa program. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: E'IMI:We spent the focus of our year on becoming our own non-profit and did community events to further expand our project and its outreach and hopefully gain some new donors for our sustainability. We have our non profit status now and will be working on our own an no longer need INCFs support. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Konihiki Restoration Project:Aloha as chairman of the konohiki restoration project I would like to thank and express our gratitude to the "INCF and their support to us in this past year 2023. We were able to cover some operating cost as well as fulfilling some of our goals to promote cultural awareness and knowledge. We continued to craft together our workbook for cultural programs and get items needed for the building our of live classroom. We hosted and facilitated community meetings that were important to local issues and required council process. Also continuing to document elders and their family history to Hawaii which is a great activity and includes a multigenerational effort. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: Love and Bananas:"Love & Bananas: An Elephant Story" is a documentary film that follows a rescue mission to save a partially blind Asian elephant named Noi Na in Thailand. The film explores the challenges faced by Asian elephants, such as exploitation in the tourism industry and the threat of extinction. Lek Chailert, a renowned elephant conservationist, leads the mission to transport Noi Na to a sanctuary, highlighting the broader issues surrounding elephant conservation and the efforts to protect these majestic animals. 2023 was a year of continued education and awareness around the plight of the Asian elephant. We showcased the film in schools and communities as well as at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand and provided educational material to end the abuse of Asian elephants. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 10: OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 11: Wai Ola Non-Profit:Our project this year clarified our vision that is depicted via a formal deck and has been shared with potential donors and others who share the vision. We focused on the foundation of our entity, chose our lawyer and wrote by-laws incorporating new structures and rights of nature. In introducing new community members, we learned to hold space for healing with Hooponopono to ensure all is harmonious for those joining as co-creators. With harmony and unity as key values and group consensus for decision making, we have learned both the slowness and strength of this way. This foundational work set has paved the way for upholding the vision and intentions of a conscious community and living university. We interviewed and selected a film team to film, Fernweh Land, to film our vision to attract more collaborators. We translated our deck into a production plan with scripts that distilled down the essential parts of our story, our solutions. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 12: Sol Projex:Our charitable purpose here at Sol projex is to create regenerative educational programs, encompassing sustainable building, organic gardening, and conscious cookingThis years charitable purposes include multiple educational classes held here on the land for youth. We are also building a tiny house from invasive tree species and donated to Lahaina family in Maui. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 13: Golden Heart Happiness Center:I. Our overall goal is to establish a dedicated center for meditation, teaching, and spiritual events on the island of Kauai to represent the aims and objectives of the Brahma Kumari World Spiritual Organization (University). Those aims and objectives include facilitating the awakening of souls as to who they are as pure, peaceful beings of light through the experiences one can have through Raja Yoga Meditation. The aim also includes bringing EXPERIENCES of hope and truth and peace to as many souls as possible that a Benevolent God is watching over us and helping at every moment. Our goal on Kauai is to help others come into this state of awareness and connection by inviting them into a dedicated space for meditation where this awareness of Gods Love and Peace is kept constantly, making it easy for all to know and feel the vibrations of Love and Peace emanating from the Source and to bring this faith and trust into their hearts and lives.2. Our achievements towards this goal in 2023 are as follows: A. Spiritually: We have continued to offer service to our community in various venues including: Princeville Community Center, Golden Lotus in Kapaa, and Grateful Dojo in Kilauea aka Natures Church as well as private homes in the form of opportunities to meditate for the self and for the world on a consistent, regular weekly basis (at least 3x a week in Kapaa, Kilauea, and Princeville). Most recently we have participated in a 50 states Brahma Kumari Initiative to dedicate a series of World Peace Meditations on eleven consecutive Fridays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm which began on November 10, 2023 and runs through January 19, 2024. In addition to our weekly offerings, we also held a wonderful annual ceremony called Rakshabandan in my present home in Kilauea in September, 2023. Thirty participants attended who were tied in a promise of their "own - making" to bring about positive change. We brought in 3 of our sisters from larger centers in Novato and Seal Beach, California to facilitate the program with us. B. Financially This past year in April 2023, marked the beginning of a financial thrust towards a larger dedicated center through an educational and health oriented business endeavor. This business endeavor, based on Light Technology, is helping many souls in many ways overcome physical, mental, and financial challenges. It has helped this one to move out of a former, very limiting accommodation into a much larger, shared sanctuary-style home with lovely gardens in August 2023. While it is not the dedicated center for our overall charitable goals it is definitely another step in that Direction and was made possible by this business endeavor. |
