What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To provide support and service to the physician and healthcare providers, each individually providing healthcare services to patients. Membership is limited to healthcare providers collectively having a common interest in being in a network with managed care organizations and desiring to lower their medical practice expenses through group purchasing initiatives.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Managed Care Operations - To provide our membership healthcare providers access to participate with the insurance company and health plan networks. Enabling members to participate in the networks used by beneficiaries of those insurance companies and health plans provides patients with greater access to healthcare choices and availability. The Texas Professional Healthcare Alliance Inc. (TPHAI) brings these options and opportunities to the membership to support their practice.

29 Expense Reduction - To identify and facilitate group purchasing opportunities allowing the individual members to realize discounts and savings as being part of a larger group from what otherwise alone they may not be able to realize. Members benefit from access to the negotiated savings arrangement, but each holds an agreement or contract with the vendors directly.
