What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To facilitate collaboration, networking, and education amongst its members to further the Maryland customer sited solar market. Through education and communication, MRSC hopes to make rooftop solar power more affordable and accessible to the community through effective policy advocacy.

Form 990-EZ, Part III, Statement of Program Service Accomplishments Educational Meetings Program Accomplishments continued: We focus on regulatory issues, legislative changes, and brainstorming strategies to advance solar energy in Maryland. Through various communications, op-eds, meetings with industry stakeholders, and participation in task forces or studies, we effectively and respectfully advocated for customer-sited incentives in Maryland. These meetings were hosted without any expenditure of MRSC funds, relying instead on the volunteer hours of our members.
Form 990-EZ, Part III, Statement of Program Service Accomplishments Legislative Program Accomplishments continued: This was a significant win for the industry and our coalition, establishing our reputation among stakeholders and legislators. Following our lobbyist's advice, we met with legislators, participated actively in multiple industry calls/meetings while brainstorming efforts to reverse Maryland's declining solar installations. We are enthusiastic about continuing this momentum toward reforming the state's renewable portfolio standards.
