What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Colorado Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is established to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advocate the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 AILA has continued its participation in pro bono efforts by supporting the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN) in its efforts to address the needs of detained immigrants and provide pro bono assistance to immigrant children, among other services RMIAN provides to the immigrant community of Colorado. AILA supported RMIAN by providing a $5,000 grant to the organization. In addition, AILA provided another $11,700 in grants to other non profit and charitable organizations serving the immigrant community for a total of $16,700 in grant awards.
