Notice CP 259A Tax Period June 30, 2022. This is a response to Notice CP259A. Attached is a 990EZ for our accounting period of June 1, 2021-May 31. 2022. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT POST 7 USES A 6/1-5/31 ACCOUNTING PERIOD. The Balance Sheet information from 2021 is an estimate. the reason is explained next. The current Post 7 governing board was under the impression that the prior governing board had taken care of the 2022 filing. However, in researching this matter, we have discovered that the tax consultant who had filed Post 7 tax returns in the past had a problem with the prior board and is no longer interested in working with us and is not making himself available to provide information on the 2022 filing. In addition, we have also discovered that Post 7 files are incomplete or missing, including the 2022 return which we were assured was filed, but we are unable to locate a copy. So, we are not sure if the 2022 return was filed. Hopefully this 2022 return will satisfy IRS concerns and request that all late fees be forgiven. Also, previously we answered this Notice in writing but we our return was returned, and we advised that it had to e-filed
