What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Williams Grand Lodge is a non-profit organization.The operating income comes from the subordinate lodges and chapters who pay quarterly dues. The Lodge has 501C and tax-exempted status. Williams Grand lodge has two meeting annually. Officers and members of the subordinate lodges and chapters attend workshops at these meetings. Bi-annually the members elect new officers. The positions of Grand Worshipful Masters Grand Secretary Grand Mortuary Secretary and Grand Treasurer are given a quarterly stipend; however these stipends are only paid after expenses have been paid. Each subordinate lodges and chapters is required to complete their individual 990 e-postcard indicating that the amount of money in their account is less than $25,000. In addition financial report is submitted to the Grand Secretary who completes the 990 E-postcard.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Williams Grand Lodge provides scholarship Pearlie M. Walker Memorial Scholarship to students graduating from high school and students enrolled in college. Each applicant must get an application from a subordinate Lodge or Chapter. The student must complete the application submit an official transcript and complete an essay. The winners are selected by three judges not affiliated with Williams Grand Lodge. The new component added was the Back-to-Schol Bash in which Williams Grand Lodge provides 150 bookbags with schools upplies to children in the compuity.
