What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Walled Lake Education Association (WLEA) is a professional labor organization representing the teachers of the Walled Lake Consolidated School District in Walled Lake, MI. The WLEA provides labor support, advocacy, and professional negotiations with management for the teachers of the district.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The WLEA successfully advocated for members on a variety of topics over the course of the last school year. The collection of dues is necessary to support the Association in representing its members during labor negotiations, labor disputes, and contract implementation with the Walled Lake Consolidated School District. There are approximately 770 members who benefit from the Association's activities.
