What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The exempt purpose of the Rotary Club of Iowa City - Noon is to provide service to others promote integrity and advance world understanding goodwill and peace through our fellowship of business professional and community leaders. These are the tenets of Rotary International of which this club is a part.

28 District 6000 HEF - Iowa MOST: Each winter for many years a Miles of Smiles team has traveled to conduct medical missions in the remote Western Highlands of Guatemala. In partnership with Rotary Iowa MOST has been able to dramatically impact the health and quality of life of hundreds of families through cleft lip palate and cataract surgeries. Iowa MOST embodies Service Above Self to change the lives of some of the most vulnerable poverty-stricken families in the world.

29 District 6000 HEF - Xicotepec: The joint efforts of Xicotepec Rotarians D6000 and The University of Iowa have created bonds of friendship that transcend social economic religious racial age and cultural barriers and which embody Rotary's values and ideals. Over its more than twenty year history the intergenerational Xicotepec Project has touched the lives of many Norteamericanos as well as Xicotepecanos. Beginning in 2003 D6000 project teams have visited Xicotepec each March to work on Rotary projects there ranging from construction of new school classrooms and playgrounds to screenings for cancer and diabetes to de-worming of pre- and primary-school students.

30 RYLA World Affairs: Rotary Youth Leadership Academy RYLA is a leadership development program for young people who want to learn new skills build their confidence and have fun. Events range from one-day seminars to weeklong camps. In Iowa it is an annual event at a regional college where Clubs send youth from local high schools to engage in leadership training for one week. Students present to the Club at a regular meeting after their experience. For 2022-2023 fiscal year 12 students were supported by Iowa City Noon Rotary at Grinnell College RYLA. 20 students were sent to the World Affairs seminar in Waukesha WI.
