	The Certified Utility Safety Professional CUS certification program is the only program offering utility-specific safety credentials to meet the unique requirements of utilities and related contractors. The CUSP credential is only awarded to those who meet the eligibility requirements, whose application is reviewed by committee and, if approved, must pass the CUSP exam. There is an expectation that utility safety leaders taking this exam have a solid understanding of the core subject areas of standards, hazard ID, incident prevention, leadership skills, human performance, and operations. During the calendar year 2023, approximately 226 professionals passed the exam, and USOLN had 1,503 active CUSP credentials.
