Pt VI, Line 6 Any person may be a Farm Bureau member. All Farm Bureau members have the same vote and access to member benefits.
Pt VI, Line 7a The Organizations members elect the Board of Directors each year at the annual meeting. In order to hold an officer position within Farm Bureau, the member must be actively engaged in farming, which must be his/her primary interest.
Pt VI, Line 7b Decisions of the governing body subject to approval by members include setting annual membership dues and nominating voting delegates to the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.
Pt VI, Line 11b Management reviews the documents and presents the return to all members of the governing body. Following final board approval, the return is signed by an officer and submitted to the IRS.
Pt VI, Line 12c On an annual basis, all officers, directors, and key employees are required to sign a statement which affirms that they have: 1) received a copy of the conflict of interest policy, 2) read and understood the policy, 3) agreed to comply with the policy, 4) understand that the Organization is tax-exempt and in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish its tax-exempt purpose. A sub-committee, comprised of non-conflicted Board of Directors, annually receives all conflict of interest information, reviews, and determines if there are conflicts of interest. The committee then reports its findings back to the Board.

Pt VI, Line 2 Jeff Hinnah and Debbie Hinnah have a family relationship.
Other Part III, Line 4a - Education - Reaching teachers regarding incorporating agriculture into their curriculum thus reaching youth with factual information is a priority of Keokuk County Farm Bureau. A position was established and a part-time person is employed to reach youth in all schools in the counties. Partnerships with two schools Vocational Agriculture programs were established to purchase CASE and horticulture curriculums.Investing in tomorrows leaders especially those involved with agriculture is important to Keokuk County Farm Bureau. Two high school graduates were awarded scholarships. These were amongst four that submitted applications that were reviewed by the selection committee and presented their respective awards at graduation ceremonies.
Other Part III, Line 4b - Public Policy - Members have the opportunity to surface issues for inclusion in the policy development process. All issues surfaced are later entered into the policy development system for other members from across the state to review and prioritize. Once policy ideas are arrived at, members opinions on each are sought, positions arived and then approved.
Other Part III, Line 4c - Ag Promotion - Residents of Keokuk County are made aware of the importance of agriculture through a variety of outlsts.
