1 RAVENSCROFT IS AN OUTREACH MINISTRY OF MSW THAT IS DEDICATED TO PRESENTING CREATIVITY THAT GIVES GLORY TO GOD. IN 2023, RAVENSCROFT OPENED ITS DOORS TO MORE THAN 90 EVENTS TO THE PUBLIC. THESE EVENTS RANGED FROM LIVE JAZZ PERFORMANCES TO CHAMBER MUSIC, AND FROM HUMANITARIAN BENEFIT CONCERTS TO COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRIES. EVERY WEEK, RAVENSCROFT PRESENTED ARTS AND MUSIC IN THE UNPARALLELED FACILITIES AND CONCERT SPACES IN WAYS THAT BROUGHT ENCOURAGEMENT AND LIGHT IN TO THE LIVES OF ALL IN ATTENDANCE. IN 2023, RAVENSCROFT SOLD OVER $182,000 IN TICKETS WITH 7,174 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE ACROSS 71 TICKETED EVENTS. 167,825
2 THE VALLEY JAZZ COOPERATIVE OFFERED INSTRUCTION TO AREA MUSIC STUDENTS, FOCUSING ON JAZZ AND THE ART OF IMPROVISATION. THE PROGRAM SERVED 30 STUDENTS FROM 11 DIFFERENT AREA HIGH SCHOOLS. THESE STUDENTS PRESENTED CONCERTS IN RAVENSCROFT HALL IN FEBRUARY AND MAY 2023, AND ALSO PERFORMED AT THE HIGHLAND/ASU JAZZ FESTIVAL IN MARCH. IN DECEMBER, THE VJC BEGAN ITS EIGHTH YEAR OF EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, WITH 33 STUDENTS FROM 12 DIFFERENT AREA SCHOOLS.
