| Return Reference | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Part VI, Line 11b | Copies of the Form 990 were emailed to officers prior to filing of the tax return. |
| Part VI, Line 12c | Officers are required to disclose interests such as the joining of new boards etc in order to determine if there is a conflict of interest. We utilize two systems to determine whether or not an attorney has a conflict of interest before appointing them to the client. The first is JCATS its a case management system designed for dependency that stores all open and closed cases in the system. We use this as a first point of reference and run the new clients name in the system to see whether or not there is any prior dependency history and if so who was assigned to the case. We also utilize the courts case management system Odyssey which also contains case information for every dependency case in Alameda County. Attorneys are also responsible for keeping their own case management system up to date in case they happen to represent a party in another setting. |
| Part VI, Line 15 | In order to determine compensation we utilize the Form 990 of other organizations that mimic our own. We also reach out to other dependency panels to see what they compensate their officers for the work that they do. |
| Part VI, Line 19 | These documents are available upon request. |
