What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? PREVENTING LOSS OF LIFE AND WOODLAND PROTECTION THROUGH FIRE AND RESCUE WORKING WITH EMS TO SERVE THE EAGLE SAWYER FIRE DISTRICT IN MCCREARY COUNTY, KY

28 THE MISSION OF THE EAGLE SAWYER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT IS TO PRVENT LOSS OF LIFE AND PROPERTY. IN ADDITION TO RESPONDING TO FIRES WE ALSO RESPOND WITH EMS WHEN NEEDED, MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS, RESCUE CALLS, AND INCIDENTS INVOLVING HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OUR CALLS CONSTITUTED 34 RUNS. THE VOLUNTEERS AND OFFICERS CONTRIBUTED OVER 6,000 HOURS TO SERVE THE EAGLE-SAWYER FIRE DISTRICT IN MCCREARY COUNTY, KY. THE DEPARTMENT PURCHASED A CRASH TRUCK AS WELL AS EQUIP A TRUCK WITH A SKID UNIT FOR BRUSH FIRES.
