What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Organization's core objective is to support physicians practicing in patient-centered, direct primary care (DPC) settings by providing member support, education, mentoring, communications, and negotiated member discounts with vendors. The Organization also fosters the growth of the DPC movement through awareness-building activities and education for the growth of the DPC model, which the Organization believes will have far-reaching, positive impacts on our healthcare system.

28 We held several educational weekends which we call Masterminds Weekends where we educate member physicians on how to build a successful medical practice. Over the course of the year we held 5 such weekends and impacted over 100 physicians/members.

I recently took over as Executive Director and discovered that the previous Executive Director did not maintain records nor filings as expected (which is part of why he was fired). I was told that an accounting team filed an extension for us, but they were fired by the organization before the 990 was filed and have not responded to my inquiries (probably because my predecessor fired them). I understand if we must be assessed penalities for the failings of our prior executive director, but I am hoping you will waive them as 2022 was our first year as a 501(c)(6). I will ensure future filings are completed on time. We attempted to file a month ago, but our data was entered into the IRS system incorrectly and we were told to wait 4-6 weeks to reattempt.
