Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Provide programs that support patriotism and support youth and our community. Promote the principles of the American Legion. We support Legion and local programs for children, the community and emphasize Americanism activities. We provide support to Legion and local groups and organizations involve with improving the education, health and development of youth.

Assisted needy veterans with mortgage/rent payments, utilities, food and other assistance. This included financial assistance to needy veterans and their families through Post funds and donations to the Post. The Post Veteran's Officer (PSO)working with Volunteers for Hospitalize Veterans (V4HV) located at the Denver Veterans Hospital, identifies needs of hospitalized veterans and their families as well as local area veterans needing assistance. Upon validation of need by the V4HV the PSO prepares a check using Post funds and delivers it to the third party recipient owed the funds by the veteran. Food or transportation debit cards are provided directly to the veteran. Also includes supporting American Legion and other programs providing assistance to Legion members and other veterans and their families.

Assist the youth and community through sponsored American Legion Programs including Boys State, Oratorical Contest, Legion Baseball, scholarships (3) , participated in community events on Memorial Day (2), Veterans Day, Littleton Western Welcome Week Parade, Fourth of July parade. Support local organization including the Boy Scouts, Special Olympics, Toys for Tots and Muscular Dystrophy Association. Through the National organization, the Post supports the National Welfare Association, the Child Welfare Association, the National Emergency Fund and child Welfare Fund.

The All Veterans Honor Guard (AVHG) and other local programs supporting veterans in the community. Description of services provided right arrow
The Gaming Manager is licensed by the State and is in charge of the games and workers, coordinates and works with the Secretary of States Offices, and ensures required forms and reports are completed on time. Helps to resolves any disputes with customers and is the final authority in making decisions. Keeps track of each weekly sessions results and reports status to the Post Executive Committee monthly. Oversee the ordering of supplies and pays the bills as well as writes checks from the Bingo Account in accordance with the approved Budget.

Schedule G, Part III, Line 17a The gaming proceeds are to be used within one year of receipt for the purposes stated in the annual license renewal. We have received authorization from the Secretary of State to retain unspent proceeds in a special savings account for the purpose of acquiring a Post facility in the future.
Schedule G, Part III, Line 17b Money is spent on approved programs and project supporting American Legion activities as provided in the License. The money is spent in accordance with the Bingo Budget and what is not spent can be retained in a separate account approved by the Secretary of States Office for a future Post facility.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Post has approximately 350 members. The Executive Committee consisting of 10 Officers prepare and pass an annual budget which is presented to the membership for approval. Any new activities or increases to the budget are approved by the Executive Committee and then the Membership at a monthly membership meeting.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The Post hold annual elections at a membership meeting to select the Post Officers who serve on this Committee. Any vacancy can be filled by the nomination by the Post Commander with the approval of the Executive Committee and membership.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b All decisions of the Executive Committee are approved by the membership either via the Post Budget or by motions.
