Explanation:
Due to an untimely death of my father and our executive director in the hospital for two weeks in May due to a severe illness that caused her to be life flighted, we were unable to file the return by the due date. We have since taken corrective measures to ensure that such delays do not occur in the future, including setting up calendar reminders for two additional people and giving access to another person to be able to pull needed data to complete Part III on Form 990-EZ. We respectfully request that any penalties associated with this late filing be abated due to the extenuating circumstances described above. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
