What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To serve the community , those in need everywhere. We donate to local, state, and international needs.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 $10000 to Laingsburg Community Schools Robotics Program to fund tools, equipment, costs of competition, approximately 100 students participated. $3000 to Lions of MI Charitable Foundation for their work state wide, $2000 to Laingsburg Public Library for electronic book subscriptions so people can read at home, hundreds take advantage of this service, $3000 to Lions Bear Lake Camp, $1000 to Shiawassee County Hospice Respite. Additionally we build handicapped ramps for folks who need them, approximately 4 families got them. Plus numerous smaller donations to a multitude of charitable needs.

Return Reference Explanation
Schedule G, Part III, Line 17a The State of MI controls charitable gaming with its MI Gaming Control Board which with the Legislature sets the rules and enforces them. Rules include the requirement that donation expenses be made only to qualified charities like MI schools, Lions charitable organizations, etc. It is highly regulated.

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 8 Part 1, Line 8, other revenue = gaming revenue, member meeting meals income, meeting misc income from Tail Twister and member raffles, other minor fund raising.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 Other expenses = meal costs for meetings, miscellaneous meeting and member support expenses, minor fund raiser expenses, misc. tools such as grille maintenance, cleaning, gaming expenses, storage improvements, etc. PLUS all charitable donations made by the club = $30354.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 20 Our on the books total assets on 6-30-23 are 3223 higher than the 2022-2023 990 EZ end of the year amount of 84369. This may be due to reconciliations/corrections done during 2023-2024 by the co-treasurer. It could be due to an error on my part. It might be that the gaming account balance was forgotten - 3536. I simply do not know. It is 3.6% of our total net worth on 6/30/2024. Michael Danek, 990 preparer.
