What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Promote training, disseminate training knowledge, conduct classes for training of dogs and their handlers.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 TMDTC offered 45 different obed-related classes targeted to the general public throughout the calendar year. We also sponsored 3 AKC Agility Trials, 12 AKC Scentwork Trials, 3 Obedience/Rally Trials, 4 FCATs Trials, 1 Farm Dog testing event and 1 AKC Temperament Testing event. TMDTC also has a relationship with the local 4-H Group, and provides a meeting space and mentorship for that program. TMDTC offered all 3 levels of AKC Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog testing to the general public. TMDTC applied for a grant in conjunction with the NV Dept of Veterans Services to offer a special training program for our military veterans and their dogs in 2023. TMDTC has both a website and Facebook presence for public accessability. TMDTC meets monthly, and encourages interested general public parties to attend and participate.
