Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	McCone Electric Co-op, Inc., is owned by its members.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a	McCone Electric Co-op, Inc.'s service territory is divided into three "director" districts. The McCone Electric Board is comprised of three directors from each district. Each director must reside in the district from which he/she is elected. Election of directors, per the Cooperative's member-adopted by-laws, is held by mail-in balloting.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b	The membership must approve any change or addition to the by-laws of the Cooperative. The nine-person board approves policies of the Cooperative and not the membership as a whole.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	Copies of the Form 990 and related schedules are available electronically for board review, via the "Call To Order" application on cooperative-provided iPads.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c	McCone Electric's board members review the Conflict of Interest Policy annually by all board members. Management monitors this throughout the year.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15	The Board of Directors conducts an annual Manager Performance Evaluation. They also utilize state and national wage and compensation surveys to determine the General Manager's compensation package. Several years ago, the Board adopted a National Rural Electric Cooperative (NRECA), "Wage & Salary Plan" that is currently utilized in determining compensation for all employees of the Cooperative. An NRECA consultant visited the Cooperative to interview each employee regarding their duties and responsibilities. Each position in the Cooperative was assigned a pay grade with a set of pay ranges. Each year, the General Manager submits a proposed "Wage & Salary Plan" based on the NRECA model described above, including any "market shift" data, to the Board for approval. In 2014, another NRECA consultant visited the Cooperative to review and revise the Plan. The Board approved and adopted the revised plan.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19	Every new member is given an information packet which includes the McCone Electric By-laws and Member Handbook. Year-End financial statements are mailed to our members and other related organizations annually. Policies and other governing documents are available for inspection at the headquarters of the Cooperative upon request.
Form 990, Part XI, Line 9	The figure represents payments made to disperse capital credits to members, thus lowering our patronage capital balance by $563,313.
