Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a All members who hold a bond and are in good standing, meaning have paid their active or inactive dues, may vote for board members and on the bylaws.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Any changes to the governing bylaws require member approval and large expenditures are nominated by the board but voted on by the membership.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The organization uses Quicken to track finances throughout the year. Quicken transactions were matched to the 990 categories and develop the amounts in the 990 form. The draft form was then electronically sent to the Board Members for review and they were given a period of time to provide comments.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 Members may request a copy of our documents at any time throughout the year. Normally, we present the budget projects and current statuses at the two all members meetings, one held in March and the other September. While all board meetings are open to members, most attend these two meetings. The Spring meeting will normally have a summary of the previous year's income and expenses, as well as the projections for the next year.
