| Form 990, Part III, Section MISSION, Line 1 | We are a nonprofit organization comprised of Certified Doulas who are focused on improving pregnancies, births and postpartum experiences in our communities. DOULA, originated from ancient Greek, meaning a woman who serves is otherwise known as a woman caregiver providing non-medical assistance before, during and after childbirth. A Doula also assists the expectant mothers partner and family. PPFs Doulas provides one-on-one, non-judgmental in-home practical support, such as childbirth education, parenting skills, meal preparation, household organization, breastfeeding support and emotional support to ensure improved maternal and birth outcomes. Our Doulas also assist with locating members in which insurance companies are unable to reach via phone or mail. In addition, our Doulas are HIPAA Compliant and certified through reputable doula agencies and are CPR certified. Furthermore, PPF requires a 50-state criminal background clearance to be performed on all Doulas. PPFs unique program is a rare collaboration between Health Insurance Companies and Doulas. PPF was the first organization to be utilized as a Third-Party Doula Service for Managed Care Agencies in the Country. |

We offer non-medical support, peer-to-peer mentoring and home visitation along with specialized services to women who are socially at-risk or diagnosed with high-risk pregnancies. LACTATION STATION PROGRAM - PPFs Certified Lactation Counselors CLC provide breastfeeding support, education and resources to breastfeeding moms and their support village. Some of the classes include childbirth education, newborn care, NICU support group, mommy and daddy group, prenatal yoga, life skills and more. Local attendees accumulate points that thy can use to shop at our Treasure Chest - a garden shed transformed into a boutique with newborn items, baby and adult clothes, diapers, formula, shoes, books and more. HARVEST FOOD PROGRAM - mission is to increase food security in our community. PAMPERING PARENTS PROGRAM - provides resources to the community by hosting community baby showers on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. |
