The program also educates participants on healthy eating and living, aiming to create a sustainable support ecosystem. AccomplishmentBuilding of the app to help combat food insecurity in Dayton, Ohio 2.TechXciteAimed at nurturing a passion for technology among young individuals from underserved communities, TechXcite offers dynamic and interactive tech programs and events. It includes hosting tech events, workshops, and classes, along with providing scholarships and laptops to support access to technology. The initiative serves children aged 6 to 18 and young college students, operating in select African countries and the USA. AccomplishmentProgram in Nigeria for 200 young adults where we taught them about UI/UX design, cybersecurity, etc. We also gave out 12 laptops under our Laptop of Hope Program. 3.Children of the SlumThis program amplifies the voices of children in slums, IDP camps, and streets through media such as documentaries and YouTube series. It highlights their stories and educates the global community about their challenges. The initiative also includes art, dance, music, writing, and acting programs to develop the childrens talents and empower them.AccomplishmentWe took 200 children from the slums of Makoko, Lagos, Nigeria, to the movies, to eat pizza and ice cream, and for a day of play at an amusement park. During Christmas, we visited Makoko slum with Santa and gifts to hundreds of children. 4.Hope Tour An annual short-term mission trip that spans the globe, the Hope Tour reaches out to children in underserved and slum communities. Teams distribute essential materials such as hygiene and school supplies and engage in serving the basic needs of these communities. The program includes events and activities designed for children, such as spontaneous street parties, aiming to bring joy and inspire hope. AccomplishmentThe 2023 Hope Tour took us to Kenya; we visited five orphanages and two schools and spent a day with children in a Masai community and Kibera slums. We distributed school supplies, clothing, hygiene products, etc. We served over 1000 children in total from our Kenya visit. 5.Christmas of HopeWe took Christmas to several communities in December (Kogi state, Abuja, and Lagos, Nigeria). AccomplishmentOur Christmas of Hope event reached over 2000 children. We provided gifts and food and created a day of fun for the children in those communities.6.Outreach in Pakistan, Philippines, and LiberiaOur outreaches extends far beyond our shores to other countries and partners in those countries. AccomplishmentWe reached out to 50 children in Pakistan to provide boxes of food to children working in brick kiln factories; we served meals to children in the Philippines who were victims of fire (served about 300 children), started building a school for 200 children in Monrovia, Liberia. 7.Hope Medical InterventionThis community-centric initiative brings essential healthcare services directly to rural and underserved areas, addressing immediate health concerns and providing preventative measures and education. Key areas of focus include health education, with a strong emphasis on sexual health and adolescent pregnancy, aiming to inform and empower communities for better health outcomes. AccomplishmentWe rehabilitated a community hospital in Oke-Offin Kogi state in Nigeria that serves ten villages. The community hospital was revitalized and equipped with a pharmacy. Bread of Hope hired four staff members, including medical personnel, to attend to patients. We hosted a health fair that served over 600 individuals during the opening of the clinic. We distributed 300 re 8.Off the Street, Back to School This initiative focuses on ensuring education for children in Africa who are at risk of dropping out or have already left school due to financial constraints. By providing full yearly scholarships, it aims to reintegrate out-of-school children into the educational system, covering their school fees and ensuring their continued learning. Accomplishment:As of December 2023, we have 400 children fully enrolled in schools across Nigeria from Primary to University under our Hope Scholarship Program. 9.Hope Meal InitiativeAligned with the mission of offering education and nutrition to children in underserved communities, this program provides daily breakfasts to children, ensuring they receive the necessary nutrition. It operates by adopting schools and feeding hundreds of children daily, partnering with local bakeries for bread supply, and working directly with schools to prepare meals. Accomplishment: We conducted several feeding programs and events throughout the year in several states across Nigeria, reaching over 3000 children.
