What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Union is the main bargaining unit for its members. The Union also represents its members during grievances and protects their interests.

Return Reference Explanation
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 - Social Expenses for the union. Include pizza parties and Holiday party, Also includes Union/Admin Meeting Expenses. The Union also was able to earn interest on several bank accounts this year. These were a Money Market Account and two CDs. The total interest from 8/1/24 thru 7/31/24 in all accounts (cash actually paid) was $647 and this is reflected. The 1099 sent only shows calendar year 2023 of $262. But the Union reported all income for the fiscal year.
Form 990-EZ, Part V, Line 33 The Union opened CD accounts and a Money Market Account. This yielded Interest Income as reported.
