| FORM 990, PART III, LINE 4A | PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Since February of 2013, C2C has been recognized as Joplin's Community Arts Agency by offering support services to local arts organizations and resources to increase community involvement and audience development for the arts. To its 2,767 subscribers, C2C posts a full art calendar of events, seminars, classes, performances, etc. every week and a full calendar monthly. To its 6,700 Facebook followers, its 2,057 Instagram followers, and its 946 Twitter followers, it posts three posts per day for 6 days per week of arts and cultural activities in the Joplin area. By promoting these organizations and raising public awareness of arts opportunities, C2C aims to strengthen and grow the Joplin arts community. In 2017, C2C initiated the annual Curtains Up Series to bring national performing touring arts to Joplin. Prior to moving into its new home inside the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex in November 2022, four to six shows were brought to Joplin annually. That number has now increased to more than 20 shows. The Ignite Series focusing on children and family touring shows and the Cornell Series focusing on local and regional talent has been added to the overall Performance Series. Several "one-off" performances also occur through the seasonal performance year. Over 5,500 patrons were entertained in C2C first full year. C2C hosted ten educational shows/outreaches impacting 2,000 plus area students. |
