With the core belief that Inclusive Business is Good Business, we have tirelessly worked to support and uplift the LGBTQIA+ and allied business community, understanding the pivotal role these individuals and organizations play in the fabric of Americas economy. 2022: A Year of Engagement and GrowthIn 2022, we welcomed a remarkable total of 757 event attendees, reinforcing our commitment to creating vibrant spaces for networking, professional development, and advocacy. These events, designed to champion the LGBTQIA+ community through an economic lens, saw enthusiastic participation, illustrating the strength and solidarity of our community. Our membership data tells a story of resilience and expansion. Beginning the year with 166 members, we experienced a net growth of 85 new members, closing the year serving a total of 251 members. This growth not only signifies the trust and value placed in our organization but also underscores the expanding network of businesses and organizations that stand with us in advocating for inclusivity and diversity.

Explanation:

There was turnover in executive leadership which led to the 990 not being extended or filed in a timely manner. The organization has taken actions to ensure that all future filings will be timely including retaining an outside CPA firm to e-file future 990s and hiring a permanent Executive Director. The organization operated in good faith, and we believe the facts and circumstances outlined above support an abatement of the penalty especially given that steps have been taken to ensure that all future filings will be timely.
