	Alachua County Farm Bureau has partnered with a local television station to make the public aware of the various agricultural issues impacting our local farmers and ranchers. This is the only locally produced program in North Central Florida that focuses on our local agriculture and rural important topic or issue faced by agricultural producers and rural residents.

	To promote youth agricultural education, our Women's Committee and Young Farmers & Ranchers sponsored many events during the Alachua County Fair and Livestock Show. During the Youth Fair school tours were provided to students where they visted booths highlighting local agricultreal products. We also supported the local 4-H and FFA groups during the livestock show by sponsoring livestock.

	Alachua County Fam Bureau provides an array of educational opportunities for students of all ages. We provided academic scholarship to High School students whoses applications are deemed outstanding by our Youth and Educational committee who want to pursue an agriculture degree. We also hold a youth speech contest. The purpose of this contest is to promote a stronger interest and cleared understanding of the many aspects of agriculture. It gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge, appreciation and understanding of agriculture.
