What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Rotary International Boone Sunrise Rotary Club is a local service club and part of Rotary International. The Local service club is an organization of business and professional leaders who provide service to others encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the local community and the world. Conducted by our members we meet weekly for fellowship and interesting and informative programs dealing with local and global importance. Our members plan and carry out a variety of projects that align with Rotary International's Seven Areas of Focus: Promoting Peace Fighting Disease Providing Clean Water Sanitation and Hygiene Saving Mothers and Children Supporting Education Growing Local Economies and Protecting the Environment. We fund our activities by membership dues Annual Fruit Sale fundraiser Rotary District Grants and member and community donations.

28 Back 2 School Festival - PO Box 102 Boone NC 28607 - The Back 2 School Festival provides free school supplies to any student in Watauga County whose family might be struggling to meet the high cost of back-to-school shopping. The Back 2 School Festival was founded on the belief that every child deserves to start the school year feeling confident and prepared. A child that feels confident is more likely to succeed. Serving over 1,800 students with school supplies new shoes & socks backpacks hair cuts activities helpful information and healthy food in an atmosphere of fun dignity and respect. Boone Sunrise Rotary is a major sponsor of this event. In addition our members volunteer at the annual event.

29 Mountain Alliance - provides transformative experiences and support to all Avery and Watauga teenagers regardless of means or background. Through volunteer service challenging outdoor adventure cultural outings after school academic support and mentorship we strive to unlock the leadership potential present in every teen. Our partnerships with Avery and Watauga County Schools help students achieve success in school graduate dream big and achieve their goals as they become the next leaders in our community. Each year Mountain Alliance offers over 100 after school and weekend outings with something new every week. These activities provide exciting and thrilling opportunities to push past perceived limitations and gain confidence for the mind and body.

30 Kelle's Krib A Bed & A Book - Kelle's Krib A Bed and a Book works with social workers in the community and local schools to provide for basic needs for children of all ages in and around our area. In addition to being a community sponsor with grants Rotary volunteers help build the beds.
