What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Serving the common business interests of South Asian-American attorneys through 1) addressing the needs and goals of South Asian-American attorneys in the practice of law; 2) serving as a communication and support network for South Asian-American law students; 3) representing the business and legal interests of South Asian-Americans on both a local and national level; 4) articulating and addressing the needs and issues facing the South Asian-American and other minority communities as they function within the legal system.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Funding of SABAC Endowed [Scholarship] Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. In February 2023, $15,539 was contributed from the net proceeds of the 2021 and 2022 annual dinners. In December 2023 $9,721 was contributed from the 2023 annual gala. $250 was donated to the CBA Helping Hawaii Fund for Maui fire relief.
