Explanation:

Taxpayer attempted to timely file a paper copy of this return on March 15, 2022. Certified mail reciept is available. Taxpayer received a notice dated August 5, 2024 that that return could not be processed. The IRS indicate that the return should be filed electronically. Taxpayer had previously attempted to file forms 990EZ electronically for years ended 12/31/2022 and 12/31/2023 but those returns were rejected since the IRS had a different year end date (June 30). The IRS only recently (July 2024) corrected its records to reflect the December year end. Returns for 2022 and 2023 were also recently succcesfully e-filed. Taxpayer has attemted numerous times to rectify the situation with the IRS both telephonically and in writing. Copies of the written communications with detailed explanations and documentation dated May 12, 2023 and May 9, 2024 are available. Taxpayer has diligentky attempted to file returns electronically and by paper. The late filing of this return is not due to malfeasance or disregard of IRS requirements but rather due to a timing glitch in the recognition of a change in the tax period year end. For these reasons, we respectfully ask that no penalty apply.
