Form 990, Part IV, Line 12a No audited financial statements from independent auditors were issued, however, these statements are included and combined in the financial statements for the company Emmaus, Inc whose federal identification number is 22-2702774 and is located at 127 How Street in Haverhill, MA 01830
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The audit committee approves the tax return in a timely manner. the Form 990 is made electronically available to all members of the Board of Directors for comment prior to filing. A hard copy is also made available to all Board of Director members prior to filing.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Disclosure of conflict of interest is in the by-laws of Emmaus and reads as follows: "Each member and director shall disclose to the Board of Directors any financial or other relationship that might reasonably be construed as inconsistent with the discharge of such member and director's undivided fiduciary duties to the corporation." New board members are asked to sign a conflict of interest document and all board members are required to report conflicts when they become aware when such conflicts become sufficient.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Emmaus Holdings did not pay any salaries in this reported fiscal year., but if it was to pay the salary of a top management official the by-laws state that the top executive's salary would be determined by a sub-committee of the board (the Personnel Committee) made up of various board members who determine salary based on performance and other market factors. External review of other top management salaries through tax return forms of like agencies, personnel consulting agencies and other comparable data would be used to determine salary.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 Governing documents, the conflict of interest policy, Form 990 and financial statements are made available to the public. Any public individual can come into the agency and receive these documents, but if they are unable to come into the office, the governing and conflict documents can be sent to them via the mail service. The financial statements for Emmaus Holdings can be obtained online.
Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 Depreciation expense of ($175,168) is offset by decrease in debt through payment of Notes by $119,911 and a decrease of debt through Self-Amortization of $113,577 resulting in a net increase of $58,320
