| Schedule O: | COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANTS: Our club donated $33,090 in cash grants to the following charitites: $1,000 to Rappahannock Area Big Brothers / Big Sisters $6,840 for dictionatires given to all 3rd grade students in teh Spotsylvania County, VA school system $2,500 for Fredericksburg Area Health and Support Services, an AIDS clinic $1,500 to the Dolly Parton Imagination reading program through Fredericksburg Parent magazine $2,000 to the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra $1,000 to the Friends of the Rappahannock (river) environmental group $3,300 to Micah Ministries for the support of the local homeless citizen population $4,000 to New Freedom Addiction treatment clinic $2,500 to Salvation Army Pathway of Hope program $3,000 to Servants At Work, a volunteer program building handicap accessible ramps for indigent people $1,750 to SERVE, a local food pantry $2,000 to the local SPCA $1,000 to Stafford Junction, an afternoon program for at risk children in Stafford County, VA $700 to fund dinners for the community on Thursday nights We are heavily involved in volunteer activities collecting donated food from grocery stores for a food pantry. These collections occur weekly ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION: Our members donated a total of $37,823 including undesignated contributions totaling $33,542; $2,367 to Polio PLUS and $1,914 to a Rotary initiative for relief to Maui, HA for fire damage. RAPPAHANNOCK EDUCATION FOUNDATION: Donated $6,000 for mini-grants to local school teachers in the Fredericksburg schools. NEW GENERATIONS AVENUE OF SERVICE: High school students recevied a total of $1,600 for competitions in music, speech and essays. VOCATIONAL AVENUE OF SERVICE: We distributed $3,552 including a $3,000 scholarship donation to Germanna Community College Foundation as well as $552 for expense in recognizing a Citizen of the Year for outstanding contributions to our region.
