28 During 2023, the Organization officials monitored developments on the Northern Beltline project, including efforts at the federal level to provide funding for the Appalachian Highway Development System and this project through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and federal appropriations for fiscal year 2024. The Organization also continued to research how a public private partnership might be utilized for the project.
