| Statement Note 1 | WHITE COUNTY VFW POST 385137-0644209STATEMENT REGARIDNG LATE FILING.THE TAXPAYER WENT THROUGH A LARGE CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP, AND DURING THAT TIME FRAME THE FORMER ACCOUNTANT WHO DID THEIR BOOKKEEPING AND TAX RETURNS ALSO RETIRED. THE REQUIREMENT FOR FILING WAS MISSED AND THE TAXAYER REALIZED THIS AND BEGAN TO RECONSTRUCT THEIR ACTIITY AS BEST THEY COULD, BUT ALSO FOUND THEIR NON PROFIT STATUS WAS LOST. THEY WERE STRUGGGLING FINANCIALLY DURING THIS TIME AS WELL. THEY RECENTLY WERE REINSTATED TO TAX EXEMPT STATUS, AND AT THAT TIME ALSO LEARNED THEIR PRIOR STATUS WAS BASED ON A GROUP EXEMPTION. IN NOTICES DATED OCTOBER 28, 2024, THEY LEARNED THEY ALSO NEEDED TO FILE THE 2022 AND 2021 RETURNS. |
