What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Donations are made to local charities such as a women's shelter, food pantries affiliated with local churches, and nursing homes through the Kinsale Foundation's silent auction and cookie sale fundraising activities
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Kinsale Foundation holds two fundraising silent auctions per year: Kinsale Day on the Foundation's anniversary and Christmas in Kinsale in December. Items for these two silent auctions are donated from members of the community and include furniture, household goods and handmade items, and donated baked goods. For Christmas in Kinsale, a significant amount of revenue comes from the sale of hundreds of dozens of cookies which are baked by the community and donated for the Foundation's cookie sale. When the funds are collected from the silent auctions and cookie sales, the proceeds are divided equally among the designated local charities. Program service expenses are printing and mailing costs to advertise the events.

Explanation:
I was unaware that the Form 990-EZ had to be electronically filed. I received notice from the IRS that the 2022 form was returned as it had to be filed electronically. I resubmitted it -- I had filed it on the 2022 form since I thought the tax year of 8/1/21-7/31/22 should be filed on the 2022 form. When I electronically entered that information, it populated the 2021 990-EZ Form. This is now the correct 990-EZ submission for 8/1/22-7/31/23 on the 2022 990-EZ form. The 2022 990-EZ I had previously submitted has been corrected to the 2021 990-EZ, and the 2022 990-EZ herein submitted is for the just ended calendar year. I am sorry for the confusion! If the IRS had not returned the 2022 filing, I would have continued using the incorrect year which is automatically corrected through electronic filing!
