For 2023 the Post receive a grant of $100,000 of which $76,353 is spent on the following items: $ 6,200 for Architectural Drawings to close up two window wells remove and install new front stairs; $4,403.28 for Civil Engineering drawings for repair and paving of driveways and Parking Lot; $65,750 for repairing and paving of driveways and parking lot. Note: Form 990-N e-Postcard filed for previous years. Upon completion of Form 990-EZL the Finance Officer Preparer distributes IRS Form 990-EZ and supporting Form Schedule 0 to the Post 210 Commander and 1st Vice Commander for review and approval. Upon approval the IRS Form 990-EZ and Schedule 0 are review with the membership for approval at the next scheduled monthly meeting. The Doylestown American Legion Post 210 strengthens our local community county state and nation with local programs for our veterans military and families. Atkinson Jr. Post 210 supports a number of programs during 2023 as follows: Each Christmas Season the Post visits local nursing home where 40 - 50 veterans reside. The Post provides a Gift Card of $10 to each veteran. For 2023 the Post provided $450 to 45 veterans and spent a few hours singing Christmas Carols and socializing with them. In addition the Post visits the nursing home every other month in partnership with the local VFW Post. Each year the Post sponsors young men to Keystone Boys State who are completing their high school junior year. In 2023 the Post supports the local community by recognizing first responders for their outstanding service to the community. This year Post 210 recognized a local law enforcement officer with $100 check and a certificate of recognition. |
