This is a Trust Fund maintained by each cemetery in NJ that falls under the purview of the NJ Cemetery Board. The amount is calcuated using either a percentage or itemized dollar amount, for all activites including sale of graves, burials of bodies, and construction of foundations for monuments. The financial institution manages the fund. The principal in the account cannot be used by the cemtery for any purpose without the express written consent of the NJ Cemetery Board. However, interest or dividends accrued on the principal may be used by the cemetery for qualified purposes. Any fees associated with the maintenance of this account may be deducted from the accrued interest or dividends.
