REQUEST FOR ABATEMENT OF PENALTY OR ADDITIONAL TAX UNDER SECTION 6404(F) SOUTH CAROLINA CARRY INC HAD THE 2021 FORM 990 EZ PREPARED BY DIANA WIDMER AT BLOCK ADVISORS, 1801 TROLLEY ROAD, SUMMERVILLE, SC 29485 AND TO OUR KNOWLEDGE TIMLEY FILED ELECTRONICALLY BY BLOCK ADVISORS. SOUTH CAROLINA CARRY INC RECEIVED COPIES OF THE RETURN FOR OUR RECORDS. WE WERE UNAWARE THAT THE RETURN WAS NOT RECEIVED BY THE IRS UNTIL WE RECIEVED A NOTICE FROM THE IRS DATED SEPTEMBER 20, 2023 LTR 112C. AT THIS POINT WE RETURNED TO BLOCK ADVISORS AND SPOKE WITH DIANA WIDMER. MS WIDMER ASSURED US THAT THE 2021 FORM 990 EZ HAD BEEN FILED AND THAT THE ONLY RESPONSE REQUIRED FROM US WAS TO SEND A COPY OF THE 2021 FORM 990 EZ TO THE IRS. SOUTH CAROLINA CARRY INC MAILED A SIGNED COPY OF THE RETURN AS REQUESTED. SOUTH CAROLINA CARRY INC RECEIVED A NOTICE DATED FEBRUARY 14, 2024 LTR 4399C LETTING US KNOW THE IRS HAD RECEIVED OUR RETURN AND THAT IT WOULD BE SENT TO BE PROCESSED AND NO FURTHER ACTION WAS REQUIRED CURRENTLY. WE WERE UNAWARE THAT THE 2021 FORM 990 EZ HAD TO BE ELECTRONICALLY FILED AND DEPENDED ON A TAX PROFESSIONAL FOR GUIDANCE.
