	Conduct Patriotic Programs in local schools in order to promote Americanism; various essay type programs to promote excellency and competition among local students. Provide local senior citizens centers with reading materials, gifts and other items designed to provide social welfare and comfort. Perform funeral details for deceased veterans and repast for bereaved families when called upon to do so. Assist veterans by providing information relating to VA benefits and distribute food , clothing and other necessities to needy families during Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.

Assist in conducting non-partisan voters' registration and get out the vote campaign.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	Only present or former members of the US Armed Forces who have served in combat or combat zone and authorized to wear a combat medal are members of this organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a	In accordance with the National By-laws and Congressional Charter of the Veterans of foreign, the general membership body has sole authority and responsibility to elect the members of the governing body annually. The post commander is granted the authority to appoint any non-elect member to any position necessary to accomplish the mission of the organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b	Any decision made, suggested or any other proposal by the board of elected officials which deviates from the preapproved SOP must be voted on by the general membership at a regular meeting or special meeting called for that specific decision.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	At a regular membership meeting prior to filing of Form 990, all elected officials and members in attendance are provided an opportunity to review Form 990 and question any entry recorded on form. The post quartermaster will address such questions, if necessary.
