Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Serving Montgomery County, Maryland, the Montgomery County Tennis Association (MCTA) was founded in 1996 to promote tennis in our area. Since its inception, MCTA has grown to be the largest USTA Community Tennis Association in Maryland. See Schedule O for Continuation.

Line 1, Description of Organization's Mission (cont.):	MCTA serves more than 6,000 league players with year-round league programs, including both USTA and WTT formats, as well as regular Tennis Socials for those who desire a less competitive environment; 800 Junior Team Tennis players in three separate sessions per year; 600 or more tournament players in at least three sanctioned adult and youth tournaments a year; and is a leading proponent of USTA's 10-and-under tennis initiative that introduces children to tennis using courts and equipment re-sized to be age-appropriate. Through a donation to the Montgomery County Tennis and Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) which received startup funding and annual awards from MCTA, MCTA supports tennis instruction and training for 30+ Special Olympics athletes; after-school tennis clubs at several public middle schools; and summer camp experiences that combine tennis with educational enrichment for children who, otherwise, could not afford it.
