Program Service Accomplishments-The Oregon Alliance to Prevent Gun Violence helped prevent and reduce firearm deaths and injuries in Oregon by advocating for and advancing evidence-based policies, including a ban on undetectable, unserialized ghost guns. Defended a comprehensive firearm purchaser permit policy that requires hands-on training, fingerprinting, and completed background checks. Secured increased state investments to build sustainable funding for community-based violence intervention programs to prevent and reduce gun violence, support healing, and address root causes of gun violence rooted in historic exclusion.
