What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Rotary International Boone Sunrise Rotary Club is a local service club and part of Rotary International. The Local service club is an organization of business and professional leaders who provide service to others encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the local community and the world. Conducted by our members we meet weekly for fellowship and interesting and informative programs dealing with local and global importance. Our members plan and carry out a variety of projects that align with Rotary International's Seven Areas of Focus: Promoting Peace Fighting Disease Providing Clean Water Sanitation and Hygiene Saving Mothers and Children Supporting Education Growing Local Economies and Protecting the Environment. We fund our activities by membership dues our annual fruit sale fundraiser Rotary District Grants and member and community donations.

28 Rise Against Hunger - 4801 Glenwood Ave Raleigh NC 27612 - Rise Against Hunger works in countries worldwide to fight hunger targeting communities facing high rates of food insecurity. We provide volunteer-packaged meals and other assistance often through school feeding programs to support nutrition education and health for children and families facing hunger right now. We also partner with local leaders to implement sustainable agriculture and income-generating projects that support long-term solutions to food security and empower communities to become self-reliant and thrive. Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. Boone Sunrise Rotary Avery County Rotary Blowing Rock Rotary and App State Rotaract clubs will join together to provide funds and volunteers to prepare and package more than 10,000 meals.

In addition to donating funds Rotary volunteers donate their time at Hospitality House.

30 Watauga County Habitat for Humanity - 1200 Archie Carroll Rd Boone NC 28607 - Habitat for Humanity partners with people in Watauga County to help them build or improve a place they can call home. We donated to this project to help the deserving Gay family 4 people to have access to affordable and safe home ownership. Habitat will partner with the Gay family through access to new home construction and a zero-interest affordable mortgage that is attainable by using the Habitat for Humanity model of volunteer labor and donated funding. In addition to being a community sponsor Rotary volunteers donated their time and labor to this project.
