What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Primary exempt purpose is to provide fundraising events providing food, water soda etc for members weekly get together plus local non profits, civic organizations, citizen organizations etc.

Dear IRS Representative, I am writing to request that any anticipated penalties be waived due to reasonable cause. The 2021 Form 990 was filed late because the organization's president at the time, Thomas Formoso, was severely ill and hospitalized around the filing deadline. Mr. Formoso is willing to provide hospital records to support this claim. In prior years, the organization's president filed paper returns, which was also the intended filing method for 2021. A paper return was prepared, and we believed it had been submitted to the IRS. When members of the organization called to check on the status, we were informed that paper returns could take several weeks to process. After several weeks passed, we learned that the paper return had not been filed as originally believed. We have now gathered all the necessary information and have filed the return electronically. We kindly request that any penalties be abated due to these circumstances. Moving forward, we are committed to filing electronically to ensure timely submission.
