FORM 990, PART VI, SECTION A, LINE 5 PCMA EXPERIENCED A SIGNIFICANT CYBER ATTACK RESULTING IN A FRAUDULENT TRANSFER OF $737,500 TO AN ACCOUNT THAT WAS NOT THE INTENDED PAYEE'S ACCOUNT. PCMA WAS ABLE TO RECOVER A PORTION OF THE TRANSFER. INTERNAL CONTROL PROCEDURES WERE NOT FOLLOWED RELATED TO CHANGING BANKING INFORMATION IN THE ACCOUNTING SYSTEM WITHOUT FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE TO VERIFY VIA PHONE WITH THE VENDOR THAT THE BANKING INFORMATION HAD CHANGED. PCMA HAS TAKEN NUMEROUS STEPS TO SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE ITS FRAUD PROTECTION PROCEDURES AND PREVENT SUCH CYBERSECURITY ISSUES FROM OCCURRING AGAIN.
