	The Maryland Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (MDAAP) is a professional membership organization of pediatricians and pediatric healthcare providers in Maryland, advocating for Maryland's children and adolescents since 1950. The MDAAP initiates and supports initiatives that respond to the needs of Maryland's children and adolescents through collaborative and creative programming with other public and private agencies. The MDAAP engages in activities in topic areas such as: anti-racism and equity, foster care, children with special healthcare needs, disaster preparedness, early childhood interventions, emotional and mental health, safe communities, immunizations, injury and poison prevention, oral health, school/community health, and gun violence. MDAAP's active partners include: Baltimore City Health Department; Johns Hopkins University; Maryland Board of Pharmacy; Maryland Dental Action Coalition; Maryland Department of Health; Maryland State Department of Education; Maryland Family Network; Mental Health Association of Maryland; Sinai Hospital of Baltimore; The Horizon Foundation; The Parents' Place of Maryland; and University of Maryland.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	Members are involved in the selection of Board members and any decisions that impact the structure or mission of the chapter must be voted upon by the members.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a	To elect members to the Board, a call for election nominations is sent out to members with a reponse due date. A ballot is formed with the norminations via Survey Monkey (an online survey service) and is disseminated to members with a due date (14 days to vote), reminders are also sent. Ballots are tabulated to determine Board members.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b	Any decisions proposed by the Board that have any financial impact on the Chapter have to be voted upon by the Board and there must be a quorum. It can be via e-mail or verbally. Any decisions that impact the structure or mission of the chapter must be voted upon by the members and the vote is handled similarly to the ballots for Board members, a majority vote must be reached.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	The Form 990 is reviewed in depth by the Executive Director and the accountant. The Executive Director will then present the Form 990 to governing Board for review and signature.
