What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Our mission is to honor, support and serve our veterans in every way possible in Kingsport and Sullivan County by providing the following: Honor Guard details for veteran funerals and patriotic events: cemetery flags veterans: financial aid to veterans, hospice visits to hospitalized veterans, sponsoring young men and women to AMERICAN LEGION and AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY Boys and Girls State programs; giving JROTC medals and academic recognition to local high schools and; teaching flag etiquette classes to elementary and middle schools.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
